Breast Lift Before Your Wedding - How Soon?

Basic Author Alfred Ardis

Getting a breast lift before your wedding is a wonderful idea. It's a great way to make sure you'll look your best in all of your wedding pictures. But how long before your wedding is it a good idea to get it done? This article explains when and why.

Getting a breast lift before you get hitched is a great idea. You'll have those photos to remember your special day for years to come, and you want to look your best. It's also just part of feeling confident and good about your body on your wedding day. But how long before your wedding should you get your breast lift?

Your Wedding Arrangements

This cosmetic surgery procedure has quickly become a common pre-wedding practice, just like joining the gym to take off a few pounds. Getting your breasts done is safer, easier and more effective than it's ever been before. Although it used to be an expensive procedure custom-tailored to rich and famous, it's now done by everyone. The housewife next door may have had work done! It's an ideal way to get ready for your big day.

How Far Ahead Should You Get It Done?

There is no exact time because every woman's body differs. Some of us just heal faster than others. However, it's recommended that you get your surgery done at least 3 months before the big day. Any closer than that and you're running some serious risks.

For many women, 3 months is pretty short. It's a lot safer to get your surgery done 6 months or so ahead of your wedding day. This basically ensures that you won't have any problems to worry about. However, any good plastic surgeon will tell you that there is no such thing as 'too early.' The earlier, the better.

Why Get Your Breast Lift Done Early?

Why do you have to get your surgical work done so many months in advance? The main reason is the scarring. There will be incisions made for inserting your implants, and these need to be completely healed. If there's a risk of rupture, you won't be able to enjoy your wedding day worry-free. It's not worth it to look good in your wedding pics if you have to worry the whole time.

Another reason is that they'll change in the months following your surgery. They haven't completely settled yet and they may change shape or size somewhat. This makes things like getting your dress fitted difficult. By 6 months, they should be completely settled into their new shape.

Finally, there are lots of wedding preparations that you'll be doing months ahead of your wedding day. You don't want to have to worry about these things while also dealing with your recovery. You might want your new breasts for the engagement pictures and bridal portraits.

So, how soon should you get it done? It's always a good idea to check with your doctor before getting your breast lift. If you can get your surgery done more than 6 months ahead of the big day, you'll be that much safer and you can have a worry-free wedding.
